Child-resistant jars

Our cosmetic jar lines come in different designs, each serving specific purposes. The child-resistant container Eris series, named after the dwarf planet, after the goddess of the 'twist’, contains a special lid that is hard to open for children to reduce the risk to consume hazardous products stored inside, appropriate for products such as pills, vitamins, CBD, or other cannabis-related products. The child-resistant jar protects children from the contents of your container with a secure, child-resistant closure.  Next to natural cosmetics, the series is also perfect for holding items such as spices, herbs and semi-liquids because the smaller mouth facilitates the pouring out of the content.  Every cosmetic jar has one or more options of aligned airtight lids for which compatibility is guaranteed. Miron uses a standard thread for as many jars as possible as it offers plenty more options for lids on the market. In case a standard option does not match our design and functionality expectations, a custom design will be created. Further options are additional covers such as disk liners or seals for extra protection from deterioration. In addition to the properties of the violet glass and its airtight lid, they preserve the quality by shielding the content from dirt, dust, and germs.

Cosmetics and cosmetic jars

The EU cosmetics directive defines a cosmetic as “any substance or preparation intended to be placed in contact with the various external parts of the human body or with the teeth and the mucous membranes of the oral cavity (the mouth) with a view exclusively or mainly to cleaning them, perfuming them, changing their appearance and/or correcting body odors and/or protecting them or keeping them in good condition.” Cosmetics have been used by people for thousands of years. In Ancient Egypt, for example, men and women used cosmetics to soften their skin or to darken their eyelids. Coincidently, it is also in Ancient Egypt that the first use of violet glass vessels can be traced back. By promoting the use of violet glass, MIRON aims at promoting the use of natural cosmetics and the reduction of chemicals and preservatives without compromising quality and shelf life. Moreover, the style and elegance of the primary packaging plays a significant role in the cosmetic industry. Now, you probably understand better why cosmetics and MIRON violet glass have such a close relationship.
